Yeovil visually impaired bowls club, bowling for the blind and partially sighted in Yeovil and surrounding areas.  the registered blind and partially sighted are welcome to try bowling. we have facilities at Yeovil bowls and squash club, higher Kingston, Yeovil, Somerset. bowling for the visually impaired takes place each week, our s

ummer bowling takes place on a Tuesday morning 10.30 to 1.00pm and winter bowling on a Tuesday morning 10.30 to 1.00pm Yeovil visually impaired bowls club was officially formed in 1993 and we are now able to provide help support and equipment to the beginner, new members are welcome at any time. Yeovil blind bowls website has information about how we play the game of bowls and photographs  of our bowlers in action.  there are many visually impaired bowls clubs throughout England including several in the south west.  members from Yeovil visually impaired bowls club also play in various b blind and partially sighted competitions. you may just play on a friendly basis each week or you can take part in competitions organised by the English national association of visually handicapped bowlers or competitions run by other visually impaired bowls clubs.  bowling for the blind and partially sighted is a rewarding pastime it is one sport that those with a visual impairment can do. all levels of sight impairment are welcome those with a little better sight are more than welcome to help others.  Yeovil bowls for the blind and partially sighted is a registered charity and is supported by Somerset association for the blind.  we have experienced bowlers always on hand to help the blind or partially sighed bowler.
